Essay Problem
Write a letter to a newly elected member of Congress- Madison Cawthorn.
In your letter, i) explain what reforms you'd like them to advocate for and ii) explain if you believe they can be implemented in a way that protects our rights under the law and the Constitution.
Questions to consider when writing your letter:
a) What rights are protected in the 4th, 5th and 14th amendments? Or in federal immigration law and policy (asylum, DACA, etc.)?
b) Do law enforcement policies such as stop and frisk and current immigration policies threaten or directly infringe upon those rights? In what ways?
c) What changes or improvements do you think are most important to advocate for?
The response must include a reference list. One-inch margins, double-space, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
