Students will write a three-page essay about themselves, and their families! This essay can include detailed family history, sharing any struggles that their family has faced. Students should also include their own background, school interests, activities, work, etc.,
Students should also share if they are the first person in their family to go to college. Do you have siblings that went to college? What kind of work do your parents do? Etc.
Students should share who or what inspires them or motivates them the most. Is this someone in your family? Why is this person so important to you? Etc.
Also, share your biggest fears about starting college. What challenges/obstacles do you think you will have in college? What strengths do you feel you have that will help succeed in college?
