This week we are studying police work in other countries. After the fall of the Soviet Union most of the various former Soviet Republics and the old Iron Curtain countries adopted democracy, at least in principle if not practice. What challenges can a police force used to operating in a dictatorship face? How might this apply to the Republic of Renaldo?
