Problem
Choose an endangered species that you are interested in to research. This can be any type of species as long as it is listed on the IUCN Red List. Specifically, here is what I would like for you to do (please format in the exact same type of numbered list as I have below):
A. Name of species (common and scientific)
B. Paste a picture of your species from the IUCN website here
C. Status on Red List (critically endangered, etc)
D. Where they are found in the wild (globally, for example red wolves are only found in NC, USA in the wild)
E. Why are they on the list? (Threats) IE - What caused them to become endangered? Poaching, invasive species, loss of habitat, etc.
F. What is being done to conserve this species? Must research beyond IUCN website (see below)
G. Finally do you think we as humans, have been a success or failure in our efforts to protect biodiversity (in general, not just for this species), why or why not?
Realize all of this information will not be on the IUCN website. 1-4 will be but 5-7 will require a little more research on your part. Be sure that whatever websites you use are reputable and you must include them here (just copy and past the website/link with the information you present).
