Benny has been in your preschool for the past school year. He is interacting with peers, has developed some friendships, and has achieved many of his goals. Your staff has grown in their ability to provide targeted instruction. The shadow aide is a member of the classroom team, interacting with all the students so that your staff has time to interact with and teach Benny. The staff member who was initially resistant came to you last week saying that she has decided to go back to school to study special education. Benny's dad just called you to say that Benny will be attending kindergarten next fall at his neighborhood elementary school. What can you do to ensure a successful transition?
