Discussion Post: Communication
The readings focus on communication with the public. The readings addressed two aspects of communication that are critical when dealing with the public and disaster response. These are particularly important when dealing with hazardous materials incidents because of the potential human health effects. For this discussion, list the critical aspects of communication and further discuss:
a) What can you do to adjust for them?
b) How can they hurt or help your operation?
c) On whom you would most heavily rely (as the IC) to help you with public communication?
