To complete this part of this assignment, identify the ways in which analytical leaders in retail industry are making use of analytics. Consider the types of ways that they have prioritized the use of analytics. Then, research 2-3 organizations that are leading the use of analytics in a field other than retail industry(for example: online shipping industry or grocery industry). Answer the two questions below.
1. What do you learn from other companies in retail industry? What can you adapt from other industries(for example: online shipping industry or grocery industry) that use more data for greater impact?
2. You are being bombarded by issues and questions. You are only a team of one. You must diagnose the situation for the CEO. You have the capacity to focus on only one of the three remaining areas, i.e., marketing (customer preference), legal (litigate or settle patent suit), or HR (succession planning for senior roles). Where would you focus? Justify your choice based on business impact. Be sure to cite references for your choice of industry, data sources and use of analytics.
