Discussion: Unionization Of Salary Workers
Most of our discussions have been focused on the unionization of hourly paid individuals involved in the manufacturing sector.
For our discussion this week I would like you to share your opinions regarding unionization of professional / salary individuals.
• Why do you think unions have not been successful in unionizing white collar workers?
• What benefits can unionization provide to white collar workers?
• What will white collar workers have to give up?
• Would supervision of union salaried employees be different than supervision of non-union salaried employees?
