Case study:
Jodie moved several times as a young child because her mother was looking for work. She remembers hating each move and feeling lonely when she started at new schools. As an adult, she works in a nursery. A new child is starting the nursery. The parent tells her that the family has moved a couple of times already. On the child's first day Jodie has planned a lot of activities about moving and has found some books to read with the child. She is surprised when the child soon finds another child to play with and is perfectly happy playing in the role-play area. When later on, Jodie starts to read the book about moving the child asks for another one instead. Jodie feels quite disappointed.
