Identify China's goals, globally and Asian. How do China's goals affect U.S. interests, globally and Asian? What are the arguments in favor of the United States recognizing China as a Great Power, giving its economic and military power the respect it deserves? What are the arguments in favor of the United States treating China as a threat to U.S. interests and those of its friends in Asia and the Pacific? Should the U.S. accommodate its policies to the China's new status or should it make every effort, including the Quad Alliance, to contain China's expansion?
