What are your thoughts on this - what are your thoughts on

The homeless veteran problem is something I have never fully understood. As a former service member and a veteran, myself I have been though countless hours of veteran benefits and program courses. I don't know if a lot of the people in need are not aware of the programs that can help them or are they just unwilling to seek aid. I remember a few of the stories the Veteran affairs program officers use to tell. Some were that the veterans were just unwilling to seek a home as they enjoyed being homeless. In these cases, they were just drifting and hiking about living on their governmental stipends. But I also recall a story were one came in seeking help and they got him a home within 24 hours. The problem is rapidly declining; since 2010 over 480,000 veterans have been permanently assigned houses.

The only conclusion I can come to is that those who are homeless are either by choice or unwilling to use the temporary facilities provided by the veteran's affair programs. I know it might not be glamorous, but its better then living in inhabitable locations.
