What are your thoughts on the process

Problem

As you now know, the jury decides the facts of the case, and the judge decides matters of law. The judge instructs the jury on the law. But did you know that the judge does NOT instruct the jury on what the possible sentences for each offense could be? In other words, the jury has no idea what will happen to the defendant if they find him guilty of aggravated assault versus simple assault.

What are your thoughts on this process? Do you think the jury should be told what the possible outcomes of a guilty or not guilty verdict could be for each charge? Why or why not?
