Problem: What are your thoughts about a Black Aesthetic? Are there generally accepted standards by which African Americans or any other group of people can collectively determine what accounts for "good" or "bad" African American music, literature, or art? For example, is there a qualitative difference between the artistry of say Future and that of J Cole or Rapsody? Are these differences based on personal preference or shared (i.e., group) principles? What are your thoughts?
