Our first topic is timely. As a student nurse, a new graduate nurse, and a human being, we all have stress. Sometimes a little stress is helpful to motivate us or heighten our awareness. But often, too much stress is harmful to our physical and mental health. Watch this brief YouTube stress video: "Can Stress Actually Kill You?".

Let's engage with each other about this topic. In your initial post, address the following prompts:

• What are your current sources of stress? How might these stressors change over the next three to six months as you begin your new career?

• What are the positive and negative ways you deal with stress?

• What are your goals for improved stress management, and what is your plan to achieve these goals? Incorporate at least two ideas from the posted resources.
