Application of Research to Practice
Be sure to answer the questions and identify why you believe each is evidence-based with support sources from scholarly sources you have located.
First, let’s start with a question based on your opinion and on what we have learned so far in past modules:
1. Reflecting on your past or current practice- provide an example in which you have applied or could have potentially applied evidence based practice to resolve a problem.
2. Often healthcare institutions lack the traditional on-site library resources. Take a moment to share with your classmates, how you were able to gather the relevant research in your area. Were the research resources available?
3. Were there databases available to collect key data?
4. Do you think that data should be owned by one department or profession and would that cause difficulties when gathering data and applying such tools as data mining? In retrospect- what was the “should have done” in this process?
