Problem: What are two or three assessment considerations that would be important in the case of a person with PTSD?
Dahlia and Justin are a married couple who have experienced difficulties as a result of Justin's injury as a result of a tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps (Reserves). Justin has been a service member for over 10 years. While Dahlia is in college but has put school on hold to assist with her husband's recovery. The couple is experiencing difficulty connecting with one another, healing from a physical injury, and the traumatic reminders of being in a combat zone. Justin is a natural leader in his youth to being able to take care of not only himself but others. However, due to this injury he is needing to rely on others, specifically his wife, and this is something that is a major adjustment for him. Which also has increased his level of frustration.
