Homework: Outline Assessment Starting a New Business with At-Risk Personal Assets
Objective
o This homework will give you an opportunity to complete the outline as part of creating an academic paper.
Purpose
o Demonstrate the process of creating an outline prior to creating a draft of an academic paper.
Instructions
Complete an outline for the academic paper that is the final written homework. The outline body must have the following sections:
I. A definition of good decision making (based on a synthesis of research you conducted on published experts in decision making)
II. One example of an important decision you made in the past, if that decision ended up being good or bad and your analysis of why it ended up that way.
III. Based on a synthesis of research you will conduct, what are the things that one should consider before making a decision about the same important thing you did.
Remember - This is an outline of a report you will create in the future. The outline should tell the reader what information each section of the research paper will contain. Here is a partial list of important decisions that students have written about in the past. You may choose one of these or write about some other important decision you have made in your life.
1. Deciding to have or adopt a child
2. Moving to accept a new position
3. Making a mid-life career change
4. Deciding to quit your job without another job prospect
5. Starting a new business with at-risk personal assets
6. Deciding to declare bankruptcy
7. Deciding to seek a divorce
8. Deciding to marry
9. Expatriation to a foreign country as a permanent resident
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
1. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
