Problem: Put yourself in the action. Let's say you were the waiter for Dorothy Michaels and her agent. If you didn't know anything was going on, would you have suspected that "Tootsie" was a middle-aged, unemployed male actor? What were some of the things that made his role performance convincing? If you would have suspected something was "up," mention why. Remember to think like Goffman-think about the props, costumes, demeanor, non-verbal cues, team acting, front stage and backstage, impression management, scripts, etc.
