Problem:
A group of nursing researchers conducted a RCT to investigate the effect of Therapeutic Touch (TT) on women's mood state. An intervention protocol was followed to instruct women in the TT group, after entering the lab room, to remove their shoes, lie on the hospital bed, listen to soft music while TT was given by an experienced energy practitioner. After finishing TT and resting 5-10 minutes, women in the TT group completed the questionnaires on mood state.
