What are the primary and secondary sources of law

Assignment:

I have always been interested in the American Court System but I can honestly say that I do not know much about it. Even though I was born and raised in the US Virgin Islands and we are a US territory one can say we do things a bit differently back home for the simple fact of us being so small and my island specifically being 32 square miles in size. It really is simply about whom you know and who your family is when it comes down to the court system amongst other things. My experiences however with being back home was basically watching my best friend be sentenced to 15 years in prison at the age of 16 years old and then a small experience once I joined the military and moved to the mainland and had to go to court to deal with a restraining order that I took out on someone.

1. Discuss what you as an individual know or experienced in the American court system and what changes, if any, would you suggest or implement so that all citizens have equal impartiality in the court system. Also provided the different types of courtroom evidence that may be used in the court system. This research on your own. Make sure you look into the following: Oral Witness Testimony, Real Evidence, Documents, Demonstrative Evidence, Stipulations, and Judicial Notice. At least 300 words (I added the start of the discussion with my personal experiences with the court system for you to add to)
