Problem
Liz is an engineer and an expert on the design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. She works for a tight-knit design consultancy who specialise in this area. The consultancy is good fun and the employees are typically young, and hang out together.
Recently, however, she has become intrigued by the idea of smart buildings, where intelligent systems and connectivity make more efficient buildings which are kind to the environment and the people who live within them. She wants to try and secure a job working in this field but doesn't know anyone. She used to be the chair of the local youth division of the Royal Academy of Engineering, but she's so busy that she's not had a chance keep up with that, or even the friendships that she built from university.
