What are the positive and negative effects of using cannabis

Problem

How would this study look using one of the other four methods of qualitative research?

Research Question: What are the positive and negative effects of using cannabis to treat mental health issues?

Method: Phenomenological Study

Rationale: As the purpose of this research is to explore meaning and themes within using cannabis to treat mental health issues, it is works well with a phenomenological approach. Phenomenological studies are well suited to attend to both the particularities of individuals, such as their psychological style or life history, as well as aspects of their lived world, such as social stressors, cultural values, and relations with others (Messas & Fernandez, 2022).

Data: Semi-structured interviews will be used with a small group of participants. As a phenomenological study may not necessarily be a formalized as a question, the research will instead have an interest targeted toward simply understanding the meaning of the lived experience around cannabis use and mental health with questions arising as inquiry proceeds (Richards & Morse, 2013).

Results: The data would be presented in an essay as several segments or perspectives, each describing a different positive and negative dimensions of the experience of using cannabis as a treatment for mental health issues (Richards & Morse, 2013).
