1. So what exactly is an interest group? What role are these groups supposed to play in a democratic society? What benefits are they supposed to provide? In reality, do they play these roles and provide these benefits? Explain. Are there any disadvantages to interest groups?
2. What are the most important factors in determining why people vote? Are there particular factors that appear to be more important than other factors? Does this hold true for all countries or just the United States? Why are people not voting in the United States? What role do the two parties play?
