The American judicial and correction system is a web of departments that are tasked with enforcing sentencing and oversight of the inmate during the process. Of these departments I feel our probation and parole officers have the hardest job. In addition to the basic duties and responsibilities that come with this job these officers often carry an enormous workload.
What are the two basic models for administering parole? What are the pros and cons of each model? How does your state administer parole? Do you believe it is the best way to handle parole in your state? Explain your answer.
