What are the Material items are carried out
Material items would have an impact on:
- Audit tests carried out. For illustration compliance based testing (relying on controls) might not be suitable as they wouldn't be reliable enough to take assurance from and hence you may have to resort to detailed substantive tests (account balance level testing).
- Whether adjustments must be made to the accounts.
- Whether auditor must qualify his report on the accounts.
