Complete the following assignments:
Complete Lab 8-1 on page 350. Also complete: Lab 9-1 Activities 1-4 (pg 359-365), and Lab 9-2 (pg 373-374). In your write up, interpret your scores and summarize your findings from these labs. Be sure to answer any questions posed in these labs in your write up, including the questions at the bottom of page 352 and all questions on pages 373-374. Also, compare your daily caloric intake from Lab 8-1 to the total number of calories needed each day (from Lab 9-2), what did you find? Was your average intake the same, greater or less than the total number of calories that you need per day? If you continue to consume this average amount of calories, explain what may happen to your body weight. Define and discuss metabolism and the role of energy systems in exercise.
