A. What are the key factors that affect one's access to and quality of health care and its associated outcomes in the United States?
B. Imagine that you are a Washington lobbyist. What would be your main messages regarding changes needed in the health system (if any) if you worked for an association representing generalist physicians? What if you worked on behalf of Medicare patients? Non-profit community hospitals? The insurance industry? The chronically ill? Community health clinics that serve poor and vulnerable populations? How would your messages be similar or different, and why?
C. Compare and contrast Medicare and Medicaid. Who is served by each of these programs? How are they funded and administered?
