Questions : Developing the Multicultural Leader: What is the point of the process?
Our readings for this course tell us about all sorts of characteristics that the Multicultural Leader needs to have. They need to be humble. They need to immerse themselves in global markets. The need to be multilingual.
They need to be path-bending. They need to be able to climb tall mountains in a single bound. Then we come to Jim Hackett who has just been hired as the CEO at Ford and he has been tasked with trying to turn the firm around. So, please answer the following two questions for me:
1. What are the key characteristics that someone who is tasked with saving Ford should have?
2. Does Jim Hackett have those characteristics? If yes - how will he save this global company? If not, what characteristics do you think are critical and how can he get them??
