1. Board and Fritzon (2005) wanted to know how 39 senior business managers and chief executives in the UK compared to individuals previously diagnosed as "psychopaths" in terms of scores on a well-known personality inventory (the MMPI-2). They were curious if psychopaths had significantly higher scores than the business executives/mangers on MMPI-2 scales that measured various personality disorders. The dataset (Board & Fritzon 2005a) includes mean scores for participants across 11 personality disorder scales they completed (e.g., histrionic, borderline, narcissistic). Please open this dataset and address the following questions/prompts in APA style.
a) What are the independent and dependent variables? Are the variables categorical or continuous?
b) Please state the null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis as implied in the question above.
c) Write an APA style results section as we practiced in class (about a paragraph or so). This section should include the variables in the study, the test you conducted, relevant results, and finally, what the results mean (i.e., the practical implications of the study).
