Context
In the next 5-10 years, health care systems will face critical staffing shortages. HCOs are struggling to recruit and retain qualified health care providers and nurses. Look for data from the last year on your state's department of health care. For example, if you live in Minnesota, complete a search for "Minnesota Department of Health Care." Conduct a second search for the city or town you live in; larger cities may provide this information.

a) What are the health care trends in the market where you live?
b) Are they consistent with national trends?
c) Are there shortages of health care providers? If so, describe them.
d) Support your response with researched data from the past year.
e) Be sure to respond to at least one of your classmates' posts. What are some of the causes of these shortages? How can these shortages be addressed outside of offering financial bonuses? Support your response with researched data from the past year.
