The Haversian canals are longitudinal canals show in the osseous tissue within which blood vessels and nerves pass. The osseous tissue gives itself in a concentric manner around these canals. The Volkmann's canals are communications among the Harvesian canals.

The osseous tissue is highly vascularized in its interior.
