Disasters can strike at any time and can affect the security of, and access to, medical information. Consider the Hurricane Katrina disaster and how it affected the health care delivery system within New Orleans, specifically electronic and non-electronic based records. In this Application, assume that a standard medical practice is using an EMR but also maintains non-electronic (paper) medical records. You have been asked to design the disaster recovery plan for the medical practice. Assume the medical practice has one physician, a nurse, office workers, and three computers.

Write a disaster recovery plan in 1-2 pages, in APA style, that addresses the following:
• What are the essential elements of a disaster recovery plan?
• What factors would impact a disaster recovery implementation?
• Include both digital and analog elements within the disaster recovery plan.
• Discuss the variables that are to be examined such as volume of paper-based records and file size of digital data.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
