This is a discussion of character education. Should it be taught in school? What curriculum and specific character traits should be taught? What standard should be used to determine why certain traits should be taught at the expense of others? What are the desired results of character education?
What type of character education would you implement in your school?
The most difficult aspect of character education is deciding what the standard is. In the politically correct, non-judgmental and relative society that we live in I have found that character education, in the school setting, is ineffective at best and counter-productive at its worst.
