Group Therapy
Discuss two out of the four following questions in a paper of 250-500 words:
1. What are the curative factors of group therapy for substance use-disorder clients? Offer several examples and construct a list of factors, ideally in order of priority.
2. Should abstinence or harm reduction be the goal of group treatment for alcoholism? Explain and provide supportive research.
3. Why do substance abusers have trouble participating in a group?
4. Briefly describe the difference between open-ended and closed-ended groups.
Include at least one scholarly reference in addition to the textbook in your paper.
Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
