We have looked at what a "Data Center" is in this topic. Obviously we are a small company. From what we have seen, review in your mind or jot down on paper what our requirements would be? Now think how our decision on being "green" would effect them. Your assignment is to write a memo to the owner on your proposal to meet our data center and larger business goals. Would you create a data center on site or go to an ISP or outside vendor? Remember that you will need to buy equipment and staff it if we made our own but are we flexible and able to control our own destiny if we outsource?
Your memo should cover the following:
Be in a standard business memo format (no report or APA although spelling and grammer count)
State clearly if we should house and staff our own data center
If not, what would the alternative solution be?
If we should, what are the costs both direct and indirect of either solution?
Either way, why does your solution meet the needs of our clients and the business itself, be specific.
