The main components necessary for a market to occur are product, price, place, and promotion. A market I have recently participated in personally was Amazon. I needed to purchase some new lights for my bedroom. It is important for me to take place in this market because if I don't as a consumer then the producers can't profit. The producers can only run a successful market if consumers purchase the goods they are offering. Producers and consumers work as a unit. If one part of that unit fails to do its part, it brings the unit down. Amazon is different because it allows consumers to easily access a large amount of goods. They also have fast shipping so consumers can get said goods in a timely fashion. You can purchase just about anything on Amazon. Anywhere from clothes to household cleaning items to dog treats. They also have something called prime where consumers can get better deals and an even quicker shipping opportunity. You can also see reviews of the product you want to purchase before buying it.
