One of Kuhn's key concepts is that of incommensurability: the inability to properly shift between or compare paradigms because the very meanings of terms and the concepts employed have changed too much. To better understand this concept, provide your explanation of incommensurability and an illustration of the concept based on your own experience (whether in science or another context). What are the benefits of recognizing this issue? Do you see any limits to its usefulness in understanding scientific thought processes?
