The International Standardization Organization (ISO) was formed in 1946 and officially began operations in 1947. Since 1947, there have been several environmental challenges and new standards have been adopted in the U.S. by the American National Standards Institute and the American Society of Quality. Research the ISO's Web site and discuss the growth of ISO 9000 certification. What are the benefits of ISO certification for you as a manager, for employees, and for the organization?
