Paper Assignment
Length: 4 to 6 pages.
This option will consist of selecting two religions (preferably not Christianity) and provide a comparative analysis on the significant similarities and differences between them on the one of the topics listed below.
Topics:
God death virtue sin salvation family values afterlife (i.e. Heaven, hell, purgatory) forgiveness sexual orientation/identity the soul morality freedom war prayer creation the human condition free will pain and suffering.
Other topics can be chosen with the approval of your instructor.
This option's paper must respond to the following questions:
o What are the basic tenets of the religions you have chosen to compare?
o How do these differ on this subject?
o How are they similar on this subject?
o As a Christian/ Catholic do you agree with the conclusions of these religions? Why or Why not?
o Conclude with personal learning acquired from the project.
Note: For this option, your paper should have at least four reputable sources including the text for the class. All sources should be acknowledged, both within the paper and on a Works Cited page at the end. You may use any citation system as long as it is used accurately and consistently.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
o The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
o The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
o Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
