1. Digital Assistants
Several large companies have launched digital assistants that are "always on" or "always listening." That is, they are always listening for input from the user. Such products include:
? Apple's Siri
? Google Assistant (formerly Google Now)
? Amazon Echo Provide at least two
(2) links to discussions / opinions / articles about the privacy implications of such always-on digital assistants.
2. Report
Write a one-page report answering the following questions:
? What are the advantages of such always-on digital assistants?
? What do you think are the main privacy concerns with these digital assistants?
? Are the manufacturers doing anything to address these concerns? If so, what?
Include any other insights or observations you have about these projects and their privacy implications.
Deliverables: a 1-page report answering the above question.
