Air pollution knows no borders. An estimated 50% of acid deposition in eastern Canada originates from sources in the USA. On balance, Canada receives much more pollution than it exports. Most of the pollutants causing severe acid deposition problems in Scandinavia did not originate in these countries, but came from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. What are some possible solutions to this trans-border polluting?
