Local, state, and federal governments have implemented laws to support individuals with developmental disabilities to be as self-sufficient as possible and reduce potential discrimination. What are some of the protections the law provides for individuals with developmental disabilities, and how can these laws assist an adolescent/young adult as they prepare for adulthood?
