ASSIGNMENT- Develop a 15 to 18 Power Point slide presentation. Using about 2 slides per question, answer the questions below. The "deliverable" assignment will be a PowerPoint slide presentation in the format used previously for the Covolo case. Use the notes portion (see Notes Page under the View tab of the Power Point slide presentation) for points that require further explanation. When you use the notes section you are limited to the power point slide at the top and the information below. Note that the presentation must be delivered no later than the due date as found in the Course Schedule. Please utilize the Second Small Group Assignment: A Bumpy Road for Toyota Mini Case Drop Box found in the "All Assignment Drop Box Folder."

PRESENTATION DETAILS-

1. Start with a brief introduction.

2. Work the answers to the following questions into a clear and concise presentation. It is important that the presentation flow - and not just be a step-by-step answering of the questions. Furthermore, I am looking for some insight rather than merely quoting what is already in the case!

3. I am looking for a deliverable that I can easily take and without much preparation use to present to another class. Your work must completely answer the questions and flow as an integrated presentation.

QUESTIONS- Answers to the following questions are to be woven into your presentation.

1. What are some of the advantages of the Lean supply chain used in the Japanese auto industry before the earthquake? Identify and describe at least three advantages.

2. What are some of the disadvantages? Identify and describe at least three disadvantages.

3. Is Toyota's plan for a "foolproof" supply chain consistent with the Lean production philosophy? Explain why or why not and cite at least two examples.

4. What are some ways that Toyota (and its competitors in the auto industry) can improve upon the company's plan to create a "foolproof" supply chain? Identify at least two initiatives and defend why your team believes they are improvements.

5. What impact do you think Toyota's plan will have on the way it handles customer relationships in its supply chain?
