Problem
Students with disability often face social judgment and stigma, and students of color who have a disability are often "hit twice" by stigma and judgement. Perform an internet search about students of color with a disability and report your findings in a summary. These can be discussions in online forums/support groups, blogs, magazine/news articles, scholarly articles, etc. Select two main sources to cite in your summary. ONE must be a scholarly article.
A good discussion should include:
1. What are some common themes that you found?
2. Does your search align with people feeling negatively towards this?
3. What do people say in support of those with disabilities?
4. What connotations and stigmas are associated with the term "disability"
5. What are your personal thoughts and opinions?
6. How does Diversity, Equity and Inclusion relate to this topic and the experiences of those who are disabled physically and non-apparent disabilities?
Explain and support your answers. Be sure to use, and cite, any outside sources. Sources must be credible. You may use any citation style that you like, as long as you are consistent with it.
