I. When individuals are diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), it is very common for them to be prescribed stimulants. What parts of the brain are involved in the executive attention processes and why should stimulants be helpful to those with ADHD?
II. What are some side effects from the use of stimulants to treat ADHD?
III. Examine Broadbent's model and Treisman's model of attention. Which one better explains the problems observed in ADHD and why? Would either model appear to benefit from the use of stimulants?
