Gilgamesh is viewed differently at the beginning of the epic and at the end of the epic. Primarily this change can be seen in the way that Gilgamesh handles the power that he holds over others as a leader.
• What are the most important qualities for leaders today to have? Does Gilgamesh have these qualities?
• Do leaders today abuse the power they hold over others just as Gilgamesh did at the beginning of the epic?
• What are the dangers of having a leader who is more concerned with his own power rather than helping and serving his people?
