Listen to the first movement of Vivaldi's La Primavera. Vivaldi composition does a masterful job of conveying the idea of Spring to the audience without the aid of vocals. How does he do this? What are certain spots in this piece where you heard moments that you can associate with spring? What about the mood of the movement in general? How can you compare the feelings that arise in the movement to the feelings associated with springtime?
