Research a jail or prison in your city or state to determine whether they released inmates early during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to slow the spread of the virus within the facilities. What are the arguments for releasing people from incarceration due to a pandemic or a similar national crisis? Are there disadvantages? Explain your answer.
