What another medication is used to treat new afib

Problem: Chris is a 66 y/o male who was hospitalized for new onset A fib. He had attempts at conversion with medication and shock that were unsuccessful. He was discharged with a script for Elaquis until he found out it was going to cost him about $600 per month. His lab work during admission demonstrated a normal CBC, CMP, (LFT's and creatine) PMH: Hypertension, DM SH: non-smoker, no drug use Meds: Lisinopril, Glucophage, Pepcid prn NKDA CHA2DS2-VACS Score:

1. What is another medication that can be used to treat his new Afib and that will only cost a small amount monthly?

2. What lab should be monitored while adjusting the dose?

3. If he were to be in trauma and sustain severe bleeding, what is one way to reverse this medication?

4. Write a script for this medication using the script below (make up a dose).

Be sure to write the script as you would for an outpatient, including all necessary information. (upload this with your answers to the other questions). Need Assignment Help?
