We started using "Placement on the Left- Right-Wing Scale (lrscale)" as our dependent variable (DV) and "Satisfaction with Democracy (stfdem)" as the IV
Step 1 -
I) DV choice, first graphs (boxes, dots,...), renaming, recoding, describe.
II) IV: renaming, recoding, observing.
III) Short but capital: dealing with missing values 'finalizing the dataset'
IV) DV: distribution, and normality tests
And of course, the slides, and the conclusion.
Step II -
ttests, chi2tests, correlations for the second draft!
maybe one simple regression for bonus
Step III -
For the last part the structure will be as follows:
-Multiple regression models
-Interpretation of results, evolution of results when you add or remove some of your controls
-Diagnostics: distribution of residuals, heteroskedasticity, vif, cross variables...
-Conclusions and improvements that could be possible, assessment of limitations
